The concert will be broadcast from the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin on Saturday 13th March. More details can be found on the INO website here.
NI OPERA NORTHERN SONGS
Ben is delighted to be a part of Northern Ireland Opera's new digital series, Northern Songs, alongside pianist Ruth McGinley and fellow Northern Irish singers, Giselle Allen, Carolyn Dobbin and Doreen Curran. Each week we showcase stunning locations and landscapes in our home counties with a selection of art songs associated with the area.
Ben sings The Mountains of Mourne by Percy French, filmed in Newcastle, County Down, in the shadow of Slieve Donard. His second song is Herbert Hughes' arrangement of The Star of the County Down, originally written by Cathal McGarvey, shot here in the beautiful Silent Valley high in the Mourne Mountains.

SONGS OF INA BOYLE - CD RECORDING AT WIGMORE HALL
In the library of Trinity College, Dublin, sits a largely undiscovered body of work by Irish composer Ina Boyle. Ben was recently involved in a recording project to bring some of her songs to light, alongside mezzo-soprano Paula Murrihy, tenor Robin Tritschler and pianist Iain Burnside. The CD is due for release next year on the Delphian label, with thanks to the Ina Boyle Society for organising the project. |
